HTC HD2 - An in hand review

HTC HD2 is the first Windows Mobile device with a capacitive multitouch display. The CPU is the screaming fast 1GHz Snapdragon processor! It is a rich phone and a well successor of HTC HD. In addition to HD, it has large 4.3" display coupled with the high speed procesor and a digital compass.

[HTC HD2]

Many people find this device is a legend. It is a perfect specimen of glass, plastic and metal. Its 480x800 multitouch display bordered by just a few millimeters of ink-black trim and a subtle row of satisfyingly pressable little buttons. It is thinner than iPhone, which is pretty impressive and a plus for Windows mobile devices. It looks like a beautiful device in pictures, but I was simply shocked when I finally got it in hand; it's just twice in size as I thought it would be and far too thin.

[HTC HD]

HD has a large 3.8" display but HD2 even larger - 4.3". I mostly carry my device in pocket, which is simply impossible for HD2 and you have to either carry it in hand or in belt (clipped). Other than that, HD2 is a brilliant device, you will simply love it.

PayPal vs Payoneer: why and why not?

If you ever earned money online then obviously your first concern was transfering money to your local bank or at least in a reachable location. PayPal is a widely accepted payment solution over the online world and undoubtedly your first line of choice. Though service for PayPal is limited and many countries are not covered. Unfortunately Bangladesh is one of them. You can still signup but making a fake nationality and accepting some limitations, i.e. unverified account, money transfer limit etc. etc.

PayPal

I'm a PayPal user for years now. But I had to signup selecting other nationality. Whenever my account reaches transfer limit then I signed-up another and it was continuing for a long. Here, I have to mention that I still have money at some of my accounts which I couldn't transfer. I gently wrote PayPal to reset my limit but they never bother to reply my mails. Once I called them over the phone and they commited to reset. But that didn't happen yet! It is really sad.

Payoneer

I was patiently searching for PayPal alternative and suddenly I learned about Payoneer. It is a Master card debit card (if you do not know what is it). I signed-up one through oDesk (a Payoneer partner) and Payoneer solved all my problems. You can have Payoneer details from my other post.

Anyway, I got an email from Payoneer (after a week) that my application has been reviewed but they were unable to approve due to my address, it was my business address. I provided them my home address and got the approval at next week. I received the card in hand at 5th week.

I had a payout pending at odesk so I immediately activated my Payoneer card and transfered the money. oDesk charged me $2 and then Payoneer charged me an one time activation fee of $9.95. I was very curious about the card and went to my nearest ATM booth to check the balance. I made a withdrawal and everything went sooo smoothly.

I'm a happy user of Payoneer till now. PayPal is way cheaper but if you have no access to your money then it is not better than a monster!

Payoneer: Free Master card for online payment

Payoneer card is a Master card debit card, a real and physical card (not virtual). It is open for both US and non-US residency's. Most importantly, you don't need any bank account to have it and it's FREE! You can use this card for online/offline shopping and ATM withdrawal anywhere that Master card is accepted. Another interesting point is, this card can be used to verify your PayPal account and you can fund your PayPal.

But one thing I have to mention here that you can’t apply for Payoneer card on your own. This is because they do not deal with "individuals". To apply for the card, you need to be referred by a Payoneer partner.

Payoneer has many online partners. You can start by signing up with one of them. Some of Payoneer partners are -

Freelancing
  • LimeExchange
  • oDesk

    Payment processing
  • 2Checkout
  • Plimus

    Advertising
  • MediaWhiz
  • Text-Links-Ads

    Adult
  • AWEmpire
  • Adult Friend Finder

  • How to get Payoneer Master Card for FREE?

There are TWO steps to apply for a Payoneer card. 1st, signup for a partner account and 2nd, signup for Payoneer. Here, I'll explain you to get your Payoneer master card from oDesk. If you don't have an oDesk account already then signup now. It's pretty simple, just follow the on-screen steps. oDesk will send you an activation email after the signup. Then go to your inbox and click on the link to activate your oDesk account.

Now, sign-in your oDesk account. Go to the Payments>Payment Methods tab, then choose Payment options. There you will find "oDesk Debit MasterCard" and Payoneer signup link at the right side.

Submit your user details and fill up the form correctly. 2nd address is the address where payoneer will send you the mastercard. You can use the same as your billing address or can use your prefered shipping address. On the 3rd part of the form, you will be asked to enter your passport number/ drivers license/ PAN (national ID) card. Later on Payoneer will ask you to submit a copy of the security document.

An important note for address: Payoneer DO NOT accept business or C/O address, the address must be your private residence, so take care of this.

Once your application successfully submitted, you will have to wait for your application to be reviewed and accepted or rejected. The review process usually takes a week or two and you should receive an email informing you that your application has been approved. The email will also inform you that your card has been sent to you by regular mail.

Usually you will receive your Payoneer card within two-three weeks. Once you receive the card, the next steps are to activate it and load money on it before you can start using it. But please be sure to do the 1st load from the oDesk.

    ENJOY your free Payoneer card!
